Need Advice On a Windsheild Wiper Prob

I was wondering do I need to replace the intermitten wiper relay on my 92 civic (4dr). My intermitten on/off doesn't work, but the high/low does. The wipers will not seat down by themselves when they are turned off, they just stay where they are turned off at. I was hoping that someone would have some advise on how to repair this problem. Thanks in advance.

I am having the same problem with my 97 GMC Sierra, it will work fine at times then it starts going to the low speed mode when it is in the intermittent mode, the wipers will at times stop when they are straight up and down, they also take about 30 secs to turn off after I have switched them off. I am going to take it to the dealer but would like some input so that I may show them it is not an isolated thing. If you get a reply could you please let me in on it? Thanks

Hi all,

I have somewhat the same problem with my 98 Civic. The windshield wipers wont turn off. I suspect that it might be the relay, that it may have oxidized and driving current through the relay even if the wipers are turned off.

Anyone have any input?

thanks!

regards,
plexi
