HELP! gauge cluster problem!

I was trying to insert a chrome bezel(sp?) cover into my gauge cluster area. im trying to give the car a black/chrome theme. and i successfully got the plastic part connected to the black peice that has all the holes and little pins for the gauges, but the plastic peice seems to be glued to the black part! anyone know how to seperate the two so that i can get the new chrome cover inside there? please help!!! thanks

On my old dodge I used a box-cutter to seperate the clear plastic from the gauge cluster. I haven't really looked at how it goes together on my Trans Am though.
