Finished: Subaru Impreza WRC "Arai Version"

Built this one box stock, just for a break from all the detail I have been putting into other projects, no interior photos for that reason.
Toshihiro Arai's Spike Subaru Impreza as driven on Rally Catalunya in 2000.
Tamiya labels the kit as a 2000 Impreza but the car is really a 1999 Impreza with upgrades, the Subaru WRT were using the P2000 in the 2000 championship which is an altogether different car to this.

Just wanted to show I haven't been idle in my silence, let me know what you think :)

Great as usual Ray. Your Suraru collection must be nearing double figures by now :p I notice you filled the gap around the auxiliary lights in the front bumper. A lot of people miss that.

Veyron, those six spoke Speedlines come in the Arai kit, that is why it is so sought after.

Arai's Impreza was an updated 1999 spec, as I said.

These wheels also come in a 4 bolt pattern on the Corolla WRC kit too... I have this kit as well, and was thinking about recasting the wheels. Great build! I sure as hell don't fill those gaps. Too much work..! :biggrin:

Clem, if you are somehow refering to Alex'e six spoke comment, it is a joke between some of us. Nothing to do with your correct info that the Tamiya Corolla features four stud six spoke Speedlines.
