Theft Question

Hello, everyone. I am new to the board. I just bought a 2004 Chrome Silver 350Z. I love the car, but I am a little worried about it getting stolen. I live in Suburban NYC and my Nissan dealer basically screwed me out of getting GAP insurance. Without GAP insurance, I am worried about the car getting stolen and having to shell out a couple thousand more than the insurance gives me.

Does anyone know how hard the 350Z is to steal? The dealer said it is very hard to steal unless you tow it away, as it needs the key with the microchip in it in order to start.

Additionally, do thieves target the xenon headlights like they do with the Maxima? I had a 2002 Maxima and sold it because I was sick of worrying about the lights getting stolen. I live in a nice area of Long Island, but the thieves steal the xenon lights out here, as it is a huge problem around NYC. They even have a special task force, within the NYPD, set up just for the Maxima lights.
