BMW 525 2001 purchase question

I'm new to the bmw world, but am looking at buying a used 2001 525i w/ ~ 60K miles on it. The drive is great and my mechanic gave it a once over and found no problems. Should I be worried about the 60K miles on the car? Are there any known mechanical issues w/ the 5 series from 2001?

I'm a little nervous about the miles, but the price is right. Any thoughts?

I once bought a 528 with that much mileage. I kept it four years and added another 30,000 miles before it started to have a few problems. The break disks (not just the liners) were worn out and I had a radiator leak. The engine could have done another 100,000 miles according to my mechanic! The main problem is reselling it. If you hesitate over 60,000 the next buyer will be harder to find. However I do think the 525 is slightly under-powered and would go to the 530 to get a lot more fun out of it (if the cash allows). I am on my third 5 series car and have enjoyed them all.
