think a eaton m62 will fit a Ka24e well? I have one in my garage.
it seems easier to hook a supercharger up than a turbo. and before you say turbo it better I KNOW I fight people all the time on this subject but it seems it would be quite easy to hook up.
I would set it up to be able to use a intercooler.
run around 7psi none i/ced

plz lord try it! i really would like to see a KA-S i'm probbly alone there but try it.
I have no clue if that Eaton will fit.
And to be honset i think turboing will be easier due to parts and the know how is out there already.

so far I think all I have to do is
1) make a plate that attaches to the charger and funnels the air into a pipe. from there it car go to a intercooler or to the intake manifold.
2) gotta find a pully to make it geared right.
3) maybe move the throttle body to a pre supercharger position.
4) buy 370cc injectors and do the maf hack.
5) mount it put a belt on it and use a mbc to keep boost around 5-7 psi or 7-12 with intercooler
thats all I think it would need.
turbo has to have a bov and I'd need to make turbo headers.
by all means turbos are better cept for lag but a supercharger is unique.

I would be doing it to the 90 240sx I'll be buying this week.
I have to rebuild the engine so while it's out I'm going to do some mods.

thats pretty cool idea, I seen a video of a car with a suprcharger on a SR20de in a 240sx, was pretty badass.

Why's your name turbo addict if you like superchargers so much? You also can't say a supercharger is better than a turbo flat out; there are numerous factors to consider. Depending on the application they both have their benefits. For street use a supercharger will most likely give you a lot more benefits than a turbo. However a turbo can yield higher horsepower in most cases, costs less to install quite often and fabricate a cheap setup and have a greater cool factor which is why they are so much more popular than superchargers.
Personally I would prefer a small/medium turbo that may not be as good as a supercharger. I plan to use my car for street use, but I like the benefits a supercharger offers a lot more than a supercharger. Non-linear powerbands take more effort to get the full beneficial effects from and therefore are more fun to drive. I hate cars with really wide and flat torque output because there is little need to even shift on winding roads. What's the fun in that?
It's all personal preference to don't say you know they are better and people won't flame you saying turbos are better. It's a respect issue...just like I respect people that like big v8-powered domestics while I like 4 bangers from japan a lot more. It's all about what you like and what you can afford. :2cents:

it would be different but you wouldnt catch me doing this mod. I just like the design of the turbocharger over the supercharger, the turbo dosent take away power to produce power unlike the supercharger who relies on the rotation of the crankshaft to spin it. i know this thread wasnt opened for a debate but hell how many cars that were originated in japan that have superchargers on them, do it, itll be different.
and dont give me this stuff about turbo lag. if you have the proper turbo for your engine and all the supporting mods then its very possiable to damn near eliminate turbo lag.

........ um I never said superchargers are better. I said I think turbo's are better and by that I mean they are better at making more hp.
I never bashed anyone I said I have a supercharger already so that and the fact that no one has used one with this motor is the reason I would use a supercharger over a turbo. plus I would have killer low end torque.
side note: I took my grand prix out for a spin today....I unhooked the wastegate I had to watch the gauge to keep from hitting fuel cut. 3.1L v6+T25= 11.5psi at 2000rpm needless to say I left marks everywhere at 1/4 throttle.
in my case I think there is no way a supercharger could provide the same boost so early and not badly heat the air in the top end and suck lots of hp outta the engine. I'm just using a supercharger for fun. I'll probably use a turbo later on.

ps: I've never driven a supercharged vehicle so I'm turbo biased<if thats the right spelling)
