As this damn hobby seems to get more serious by the day i cant stop thinking of ways to progress so i might one day be as good as the likes of some of you lot out there.
Right..........i cant stop thinking about this Alclad ll so ive decided to invest in some (expensive) from Hobby world. The chrome is a must, i want 1 more though. Which do you guys think would be used the most on engine/chassis work from the links below.
Cheers Guys.

I'd just get two jars of chrome ;)
If you want something else check the pics on the Alclad home page and see what takes your fancy.
EDIT: the Alclad2 homepage isn't working for me at the moment so here is the pic of their different colours, not a lot of difference between some of them.

I just tried this stuff for the first time and I am impressed. I air brushed ModelMaster Gloss Black enamel for a base, cleaned the airbrush and immediately shot the Alclad at about 15 psi(their recommended). These wheels were orange plastic.

I think it's around $11. I would bet you will get better results with a good airbrush though, because for a full chrome effect a light coat must be applied. The more chrome you build up the less chrome it appears.

Yeah I love the stuff. I have every color they make except the prismatic colors, which I have no use for. Its definately worth the cost ($7.50 a bottle at my local hobby store). I also buy the big bottles of the gloss black base, I dont always trust rattlecan sprays for basecoats with Alclad.

I literally have just finished spraying Alclad for the first time and then I saw this thread, I used the plain Aluminium on an F1 Monocoque and it is the bomb, I'm going to order one of every colour they make!
Whoever started this thread, buy them both!!!
