How Serious is this engine code??

I have a 2000 Intrigue, 3.5L ith about 70K miles on it. The service engine soon light came on this evening. I had the code checked and it read P1441. I have had no work done recently. Is this something I need to have checked quick or what. Gas cap was fine. Should I just wait a couple of weeks and see if it goes off?

P1441 translates to "EVAP control system flow during non-purge". This is very possibly due to a loose gas cap. Unscrew your gas cap, screw it back down, and see if it goes away in a day or two.
