well heres the situation, i had just hooked up a remote starter
w/alarm well we couldnt get the remote starter hooked up so we just
kept the alarm, for now, everything was working fine till i
installed an aftermarket intake, now the truck doesnt turnover or
even crank, the lights, dash guages, radio and all still work, just
that it doesnt want to do anything.

any thoughts as to what it might be, or what we could check?

Thanks
Dave

Check for 12 volts at your starter on the cable coming from the battery. If that checks out, check the smaller wire for 12V with the key in the start position, if it doesn't have 12V check the starter wire in the ignition harness for 12v when in start. Just thought of something else, does the alarm have a starter disable relay? Check that too

My old alarm would disable the starter if I disconnected the battery. I can't remember how I got that fixed, but it was in the manual. Good luck.

well, thanks for all the help but we figured it out. it was the starter relay, the connection was bad, so we bent the prongs a certain way so they would contact better. everythings ok.
