another newb question!!!

hey guys is there a different between the 97-99 and the 00-01 a4 1.8t body style?

yes, 97-99 turbo is smaller, the 00-01 has a hybrid k03 sport turbo

the 97-99 i believe is only putting down 150hp to crank while the 00-01 has 170hp

also the older-'98 uses Drive by Cable while the '99 and newer use drive by wire

the '96 has a different tail light

there's a couple nick nack differences, but id recommend the '00-01 if possible

actually.. the 00-01 are drive by wire.. 99.5 and below are non dbw...

the 99.5 got all of the exterior and interior changes taht the 00-01 has...but is sitll non dbw which is desirable if you're really planning on modding your a4..

im just confused cuz sometimes when i look in magazines for parts for our cars it will never say like 2001 they only usually go to 2000 and so i was just wondering if the 2000 parts would fit the 2001

90% of the parts will work on all the B5 cars .. there's only minor differences mostly on the engine

suspension is identical
