99 wiring headache

My daughter's Neon - right rear brake light/ turn signal won't work. All other lights work fine, except right front blinks fast. checked all normal things that I can think of, including wiring from dash to back (add 12v and the light works). I've even changed the combo switch without luck. My only other thought is the brakelight switch, it has 4 wires, one hot. when I activate it, I only have power on two wires. I don't have a wiring diagram and any help would be great.

the wire is probably open somewhere in the wire. get a diagram if you don't want to buy a book go to a library and photocopy it. i don't know if neons use isolated fuses for lights like the new chevy's but checking all the fuses is the first step and i assume you did that. the harness to the multi switch could have a damaged connector/open wire. stuff like this can eat up tons of time even though it's a simple fix. i don't think the signal goes through the brake switch but if you unplug the switch and they work then you know they don't. good luck
