I sprayed a body and have orange peel. Now what grit sandpaper/s should I use to get out the orange peel before using the rubbing/polishing compound?

I would use 3200 grit to get rid of orange peel, then 4000, 6000, and 8000 to get rid of scratches, followed by rubbing compound and wax.

Any idea where to get these grit sandpaper? I've gone to every Auto store in town, and when I ask them for those grits or for white primer they look at me like I have a third head.

http://www.plastic-models has them, under their Detail Master product line. You can buy the grits individually, or in a package. Be sure to wet sand when using them.

You can buy fine padded sanding sheets direct from Micromesh. They have a website, try a Google search. If you use a lot it would work out much cheaper than buying the small Detail Master sheets. They just chop up the large Micromesh stuff, bag it and mark the price up. Might be a good Idea to try a Detail Master type package first to see which grits you prefer.

In other words the best place to look is a hobby shop.
