This is only my second attempt at something other than Tamiya. Yes.......only ever built Tamiya kits before but as they (Tamiya) aren't releasing anything of interest these days i've decided on something different. I dont trust Fujimi so i bought a couple of Aoshima's VIP kits, so here goes......my first progress thread.

The Kit........actually is a quality kit, bit of sanding to do but well worth it.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/59883Pict0684-med.jpg
Ok.......Body with side skirts, front & rear bits in place, a couple of bits blu tacked in place & racinghart rims.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/59883Pict0681-med.jpg
Body again, this time with original rims, dont know which one's to use !!!

Rims........original or Aoshima's new Racingharts

My camera really i'snt doing my paintjob any justice here, looks much better in reality. Even looks like iv'e white panel lines.....not the case. Does anybody else have a Konica Revio KD-410z, 4.0 Pix, cos if so i sure would appreciate some advice on better picture taking with this particular camera.

Just a quick update........
Decided to strip the paint off this one as it was too thick, re-painted with TS 40 (metallic black) and clearcoated several times. Getting a nice shine on it now, still a bit of compound stuck in the panel lines. It should be finished any day though now............

Once again..the undersides arent easy to paint on some of these aoshima kits (similar to tamiyas 350z) so it feels nice to see how its turned out.

Can see the paint much better now. I think the problen with your other shots was the bright background.
Try shooting outdoors with your back to the sun.
