HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You're asking if your FF 4g63 is worth trading it in for a brand spank' new AWD 4g63 BEAST?!
DO IT! DONT ASK QUESTIONS! DO IT!
AND POST PICTURES!
as for reliability - same as your car. It's the same damn engine man. Evo's a race bred cars...they're made to take punishment.

go with the evo

why would the evo let you down?
if you're afraid that a warrantied AWD turbo vehicle, brand new no problems is going to let you down.. don't get it.

You'll be happy with the EVO. Just think of it as a GSX with less problems, and a stock turbo capable of voiding your warranty faster than you can get it to the track. I'm not positive but i'd say you could get 350whp out of that puppy easy :)

I would save 12-14 grand and get a 2g, then put that saved cash into mods instead of car payments, but thats just me :D If I had my way, I would have a stock EVO (ok, maybe an exhaust at least) as my daily driver/winter beater, and the DSM as my "fun" car. ;)

a stock evo as a beater and a dsm as a fun car?
It should be the other way around friend ... no one in their right mind drives an engine tuned to be worth it's weight in gold as a beater... with the younger brother of that car as a fun car...

well lets face the facts, mitsubishi has had problems with there AWD and other motor problems. do you think things have changed with this car? honestly.. reliability and longitivity is something i need, is this car my answer?

...
Let me reiterate -
its the same exact thing as your car - only it has a center differential that drives you on all four wheels instead of just your front ones and the engine is producing more horsepower...
Is that so hard to understand?

evo as daily beater, gsx as project car.
Other way around? why? so you can drive around an old car all day, and only have a nice car when you go to the track? no thanks.

Uhm why not the other way around?
Because the GSX is the Evo's little brother. If you're going to have a daily driver as an Evo, then have another Evo as a track car.
Whats what daily driving is for... just getting around  it's your money and your cars... do with them what you will.

why would you need an EVO for a track car? use the GSX for that and don't void your new EVO warranty.
the weekend/track/project car isn't supposed to be more expensive than your normal one. It's like a side hobby and project :)
