Ok, so I get pulled over for 16 over right? I get off easy... all I have to do is 16 hours of community service - no money out of my pocket.

So I drive within legal bounds right? Never more than 5 over. (I'm serious)

Dad walks in and starts bitching about how some fucking state trooper (whom I've never met and thus wouldn't know what god damn car I drove in the first place) says he clocked me doing 78 god damn miles an hour in a 65. Bull fuckin' shit says I. But apparently some dumbass police officer who thinks it was my car and I've never met has more credibility in saying how fast I was going than I do. Of course when I defend myself - all I get told is that I can tell that to them when I have to go to court next for fucking speeding.

Why can't a guy catch a fuckin' break? There's a million silver mx-6s in the damn world and somehow - the one that got caught speeding had to be me. This kind of one-sided bullshit pisses me off and makes me want to go hit someone.

something similar happened to me. some kid used to rip up and down my street in a maroon supra. I had a red nissan 200sx. and some lady had a cop come to my house to bitch at me for the other kid driving all fast.

The cops in my area do some serious profiling. They come out in force during my school's lunch hour, then and only then. There are other people who aren't students who speed on the road that my school is on, but it seems that the cops only pull over students. Not only that, but they tend to overexaggerate on the offense. My friend was going 51 in a 45 and they said that they clocked him doing 59. And I believe my friend when he says he was going 51 because not too long ago he was pulled for going 35 over, so he definitely wouldn't speed significantly. Cops here are serious bitches.

there is no way in hell you have to pay for that accusation. If you did not get pulled over and physically receive a ticket, then you do not have to pay the fines. Take a look at the ticket and see if the license plates even match, or the date and time of the incident to make an alaby(sp?).

I didn't get a ticket, nor was I pulled over.

It was just some state trooper who was talking to my dad and says he clocked me at 78 in a 65.

The scenario is that I was approaching the toll booth and he somehow manages to clock me doing 78 there. Few things wrong with what he said on that day:

That day I had slowed down a mile and a half before the toll booth to about 65 behind this SUV because I didn't want to bother having to edge in front of him that close to the toll booth.

I always watch all the cars as a normal thing - I look for cops constantly, even though I'm not speeding. Just my paranoia - I didn't see him.

He couldn't have seen my plates nor known it was just my car without getting up close and looking at it. It has a few distinguishing marks (bent up air dam [stock], red paint mark on the back) None of which he could've noticed if he hadn't bothered to check for ticket purposes.

So I'm pretty sure the guy was completely mistaken. And it sort of makes sense why he did because there's another MX-6(silver) that lives in my area. And it's not the first time that the fucker has been causing trouble and I've almost caught hell for it. Like I was cruising town with nothing better to do, and I park somewhere and get out and just talk to some people. Cop drives by staring at my car, and starts asking questions.

OK I finally got the full story out of my Dad.

Apparently the time gets changed around to about a week ago and the cop was behind me.

Wow, that's funny. Still sounds fake... again I watch for cops. And he clocked me doing 76-78 this time (not just 78)

Now unless my speedometer is just that fuckin' far off - the state troopers radar is that far off. Or he doesnt know how to use the thing.

kind of the same thing happened to my friend with the cop making up numbers. we were sitting there cruising down the interstate and we were going 90 (yes, we were speeding but just hear the end of it). this cop pulls us over and puts 106 on the ticket. where the hell did he get 106 at. if he just put 90 down, i wouldnt be complaining. cops really piss me off. they have too much power for their own good. i see them pass me like nothing else at 6 in the morning and they arent even going anywhere. i just hate the way cops think they can do anything.

Ah you're 16. This is only one damn ticket, and your not getting hauled to jail. If I were young and stupid (no offense), I would do alot of things different, knowing what I know now. You're young, so let me take advantage of this time to give you some tips on avoiding trouble with the fuzz.

1. Never, ever, ever EVER drive drunk. :nono: Not even when you know you'll get away with it.

2. If you want to, get a radar detector. But cops get real pissed off if they see one usually, and your innocence drops faster than a prom dress if they pull you ever for speeding and it's in plain view. :loser:

3. Speed for neccessity more than fun. Watch out for slow moving clumps of cars, there's usually a cop car in the middle of it. :sly:

4. When passing slow retarded people, don't blast by them unless you know them. Go in one smooth arc around them. Stupid people that drive slow are usually startled and angered easily, and they might call the cops if you fly by them going Warp 2.

Yes, the unfortunate thing is you will never be believed over the word of the police.You could go and try to defend yourself in court.When I was 18 I had a Toyota Corolla,not the fastest car in the world.I was driving down the street at the legal limit,a cop appears and proceeds to ride my ass!!!So I sped up a little.Then he pulls me over saying I was doing like 7 miles over the speed limit!!!!
