question what motor comes stock in an 89' crx si ? i just bought the car today  (sweet car), the kid told me the engine is from japan and only 35K miles are on it, looks brand new. has also different distributor cap, i guess for advanced timing but i forget what motor it was off,all wires are new, 4:2:1 header w/ full cat back x-haust, sounds tough, lightweight flywheel and racing clutch (i wish i knew what clutch), short shift thrower, body 110% preped and primed for paint
anyway what prices am i looking at for a b16a/c swap if the motor isn't worth working up? and whats my stock HP?

maybe he swapped the motor.
underneath the air intake, right next to the exhuast header near the split of the head and the block, there should be a 2"x2" box with a letter follwed by 2 numbers(ex. D15, B16, B18)
look for it and tell us what it says, then we can give the info you need.

I don't mean to jack anyone's thread, but I too have an 89 CRX Si and a B18a1 motor from a 93 Integra. Other than motor mounts and changing the linkage on the shifter, what else would I need to look for? What about the ECU and engine harness?
