toyota echo radio/cd

I have a 2001 toyota echo with a radio/cassette. Does anyone know if a 2000-2002 toyota celica radio/cd will directly replace the echo radio/cassette? Are the plugs the same? Does one have an amplifier? I would like to replace the radio with a factory radio/cd. The celica radios seem to be plentiful while the echos are harder and more expensive to come by.
