Why are they so immature sometimes

i live in utah, and there are a lot of rednecks,(not that you are one if you live here) and so if i go outside with my honda mugen hoodie, i get critisized, and most of the people are people i dont know, and im only 15, i dont get it, i dont like american cars that much, but i dont go up to a guy wearing a nascar racing jacket and say "anybody can do left turns you moron", i just dont get these people, is anyone else out there critisized for the car they drive, or support?

what does that have to do with drifting?

the reason is obvious, its because of people who buy honda and other import from japan contribute to the highly negative commercial balance of america toward japan, the relatively low value of the US$ and the depreciation of the american automobile market.

And they must also know that the reason why the yen is that high is because protectionism is inside every japanese consumer, and these poor redneck see a potential decrease in their salary (especialy if they work in a factory) everytime the governement have to create a new taxe or quota on importations, because helping your country is less important than your new VTech.

if you have a permit, and have gone through halfway of your drivers-ed you can drive with your parents in the car

i also have the same problem. i like european and japanese cars more than american cars and people call me not "american". i am very patriotic. i dont think what you like in cars should decide on if you are patriotic or not. that is so stupid.

happens with me all the time with my friends.....because i'm all about Japanese cars, they like to tease me about them and whatnot, but yet they always want to get rides in my Toyota:rolleyes:

i've also found out from friends who have jobs in construction/contracting kind of stuff that if you do own a foreign car, don't bother going into any kind of construction work or anything of that matter,unless you want to get back to your car after a long shift and realize it's vandalized to the point where it's a total loss. The reason being because since that's like unionized work, and you're driving a car that's not made by any american unions, they'll be like to hell with you and ruin your shit. and have fun trying to get people to fess up to it and reimburse you for the damage done to your automobile, because they will all stick together in telling you that they don't know who did it:disappoin:disappoin:disappoin

Buying an european car isnt anti-patriotic since most of European countries have been good economics partners. And after all, the reason why we want to have an higher $ is to make the imports cheaper right?
But about Japaneses, they keep getting more control on the american market with products like with TVs and accessories. Governement tend to limit the importations to keep jobs in here, but its a desperate try to fight against a country where NOBODY BUY AMERICAN PRODUCTS TO KEEP THEIR ECONOMY ON THE TOP.

The negative commercial balance is a major cause, if not the first to America's relatively slow economy. So dont say that buying a foreign car is not unpatriotic.

Once again, it must not be exagerated, like with middle-low class workers. Some of them are poor and need to blame it on something else than themselves, wich can be foreign cars. You shouldnt judge someone too hard for buying one, as you would probably not judge someone for taking a chocolate bar in a lickor store, or throwing their mcdonald stuff on the highway.

people need to admit there is compatition in the automobile market. i think that the automobile market wouldnt be as cool if there was just american cars. you have to have diversity. if i could, i would own every kind of car just because some days i might feel like driving an american car and others drive an european car.

I get crap all the time from a friend and a few others for my honda accord. i tell a few that i drift, and that it's a good car, but i get CRAAAP! the fact is, the accord is a real nice car. good for a first car too. I have a wing on it, but that's because it feels like the car is going to FLY at over a 100mph on the highway. people need to realized honda is a good company too. they make quality cars at awesome prices. there wouldn't be modded civics everywhere if it werent a well engineerd car. my accord is just over 85000 and i did a compression check a month ago. better than it should be. people need to backoff and give respect to others. not everyone is gonna be driving a sleeper S14 that drifts like those D1's and pulls 9's. not everyone is going to be driving a Bronco lifted 4 ft. with 30" wheels. i'll be damned if either of those exist.

oh yeah, and i don't mean the ricers. too many kids got a trashback exhaust and 15" rims with unpainted body kits. too many can't even drive well. all i got is my wing. and my 3AM drives around town.
