cold air intake

i have every part of the old intake out of my 97 ls teg but the white tube on the resonator does it serve any purpose or should i just take it out

The white trube runs up to right behind the ABS module to supply the air. If you want you can just install the factory tube from the TB to the filter box and the filter box and leave the resonator out completely.
