Throttle Body

I have a 99 Malibu with 90k on a 2.4l. The throttle body is black so I was going to take it off to clean it. Anything to watch out for when I take it off?? Any danger in disconnecting the sensors?? The FSM says to just disconnect everything and take it off but that seems too simple.
