dash lights blinking?

at the moment i am replacing the head gaskets so im in the mood to fix everything else. My problem is everytime you turn the key on for 20mins the dash buttons for rear defrost, a/c, rear wiper, i cant think of all of them but the whole section of buttons flash. anybody know why? I've reset the computer.
