Both, also synthetic or non synthetic.

As I am an Audi tech, I would use Mobil 1, actually I do. Weigh use 5W30.

Hi zemun. This topic has been covered extensively on www.audilife.com.
You wont need a 5W-30 in your climate. Since your in california, you should just use a 10W-40 since temps are never cold. It will offer better protection for your turbo than a 30 weight oil in your climate. If you want to go to the 10k drain intervals audi recommends, then you need to use a quality synthetic like Amsoil 10W-40.
