Some of you will recognise this car. Yes, I have already posted it here before, but the photos were less than beautiful and taken hastilly so I could enter the car in AFMOTY(and land a commendable 28th for my first go). So far this is the best model I have made, and the most detailed, but not the most detailed you'll ever see, as I'm already working on another mustang which I hope will surpass this one.
Anyway, down to the business. The photos are taken mainly for those who didn't see it's gorgeous colour in the craptacular photos I'd taken before, and to satisfy my urge to show off my handiwork. It's the 68 AMT GT500 kit which was recently reissued. I laid an undercoat of tamiya silver (The paint code escapes my memory) and then the Telefonica Blue with a shot of clear over it, a combination originally concocted by Tonoiseven. Thanks once again for telling me this combination!
After polishing I realised I'd gone through the paint in several places, so I had to coat over the awesome shine I got to mask my mistakes. The shine you see here isn't as good as before, but decidedly neater looking.
This is also my first go at BMFing window frames, so go easy on me! Just enjoy.

Here's some progress on my other project I have photos of, a 41 willy's with a blown 392 Hemi and everything else that came in the revell kit. It has excellent fit and some great detail, although the Instructions can be a little unclear at times (I ended up fitting the exhaust manifolds backwards!). The project, and my other mustang, have since progressed far past what you see here and are nearly ready to be finished. The willy's has been coated in Tamiya gloss Black and the interior in Tamiya sand Brown. I'll get some pictures of this and the near completed muzzy probably on the weekend, fingers crossed, I might just finish them too.
Bare chassis with near complete suspension:

Sweet Shelby I am working on that same one, except mine is crazy. Elenor clone. Scratch building bodywork, engine swap, superdetailing. I just hope that it comes out as sweet as yours.

I think that GT500 needs new tires, rather then those crappy vynal AMT tires. Oh yeah, i'd leave the Willys in primer, just do the chrome trim

it's a little late to be telling me that camaroboy ;) if you read the thread at all you'd've seen I've already painted the willy's, the photos are just old. I don't think there is any chrome trim to do on the willy's, I want to try and keep the contemporary look. Anyway, I'll be trying to finish it this weekend, so I'll see you later. if I don't finish it, I'll put up some progress in another thread.
