I know that anything is possilbe with money... but I am talking reasonable price... Im talking atleast let me rev to 7200rpm? without major changes. Cause I have a friend who sent his Honda GS-R engine to get worked on, he got it balanced bluprinted and micropolished for 12000rpm Max Engine speed... so I was wondering if the ka24de could as least handle a measily 8000rpm?

To make an engine spin faster, you have to lighten the spinning mass. This typically means a lighter valvetrain...titanium retainers, springs, rockers, etc. Upgraded cams help, and so does a lightened flywheel. Iv'e never seen any of those things for the KA, but for the SR or RB series it's relativley easy to acheieve a 10k redline. Even if you do all that to your engine, it's still going to be limited at 7-8k (redline of SR and RB) because the factory ECU cuts fuel at that point. By definition, your "redline" is where your engine makes optimal power, not a red notch on your tach. So there is extensive dyno tuning involved in raising your redline, a custom ECU is usually involved.

Thanks but no thanks... you didnt anwser my question... I want to know if it can be done to a KA24de or better question has anyone seen this done... with the proper valvetrain can it be doen or is the engine just built for a 7000rpm MAX engine speed? I know what redline means... Or should I not even bother with the Ka and just get the Sr...

Well theoretically yes, it can be done to the KA with the proper valvetrain components. I was just saying that I haven't seen all the parts you'd need for raising your redline for the KA. I hardly see any performance valvetrain parts for it actually. If you can find them, then go for it. If not, and you still want sky high revs, go with an SR or RB.

I always read, that the CA engine is very rev-happy :) so you might as well bother to go with a CA

I See no point in Giving th KA a higher redline it has no need for it and thats not where the power is in this engine. Its a good motor for making power down low .I dont see how you would gain anything by making it rev higher. If you want sumthing that just revs away go with an Sr,RB,or CA.Or you could just to honda lol.

always with the honda slamming lol. Dont hate ROFL!
I bet you could safely squeeze a few extra RPMs outta the KA stock like 250 or 500. Being that most cars are a lil detuned for fuel milage safety etc. So as long you won't wind it out daily you'll probbly be ok. But yea for sky high swap would be best.

Design Ideas To Raise Max Engine Rpm:
Shorten Stroke And Widen Pistons
Use Lighter Forged Materials Internally
Completely Balance/blueprint(exact Tolerances) The Engine
Raise The Oil Pressure
Knife Edge The Crank
Use Longer Valve Springs With Lighter Materials
Higher Reving Cams
Ultralight Flywheel
Open Up The Head Ports
Polish The Head
Use A Larger Throttle Body
Slightly Lower The Compression
Use A Metal Head Gasket
Strengthend Bolts/studs All The Way Around The Engine
Enlarge The Oilpan
Use A Higher Flowing Water Pump

You Would Be In The 7.5-8k Range With All This Work (but The Real Question Is: How Much Power Are You Gaining?).

why do you want a high revving engine? Just because your engine revs really high doesn't mean you're making power. It just means more wear on the engine.

back in the day where you would confuse thalegend for thalogikal1 and doriftoSX for dorikin lol jk

just get a CA18 like me :)

+1

I was at some website and they had a ka24 (I think de, but it might have been the older sohc) and they swapped out the stock cams and a few other parts (titanium valve springs for one I believe) and were achieving an almost 9k redline (8800 if I recall correctly). The engine was in a Datsun 510.

Hope that helps...
