small inter cooler

how small can an intercooler be??? i want one for my 67 gtx turbo hemi(see thread for pics) but there is no room what soever for one unless i mount it flat in front of the motor and it will need to be thin and somewhat small, whould a small inercooler look right???

sure. my friends 90 sumtin eclipse had a small intercooler . like 13 size of his radiator. so no problemo!

Why do you have the intake side go all the way down there? You should have it shoot straight into the intake manifold.

You could put 2 small IC instead of 1 big, like in this pic:

Those aren't 2 seperate intecoolers. Those are oil coolers. But yes it is possible to use 2 small intercooler but you have to have an intake pipe connecting the 2 since you have a single turbo.

You could always make it an air-to-water intercooler. That set up is a little heavier but works well for small spaces. If you do that, you can make a small intercooler (and, as a bonus, it will just look like a box with pipes coming in and out so you won't have to cut the R32 intercooler) and all you would need to complete it would be another small one, similar to a radiator, that you could mount anywhere.

i will give that a try, i kinda put the intercooler aside for paint today and its giving me a bad time.
