I going to doing somemods to my VR-4 soon.Like bigger turbos, injectors...the work moreless. And with that i'll need a Fuel controller.I was thinking Apex'i S-AFC or GT-Pro/Split Second ARC-2.I think (from what i know) they do the samething. But what i dont know if what ones better?I dont know to much about the ARC-2...but i do know how to work a S-AFC.Would the ARC-2 do more/better then the S-AFC?Any help would be great!

I like the SAFC blackbox. Get a pressure gauge and fuel comp while you're at it.

Which one you want will vary based on your level of modifications.

The afc is a good fuel controller. THe AFC will give you a +-50% correction. While you can use 720cc injectors with the AFC maxed I would not do it it leaves no room for error. I'd say a safe max is 660's. While the ARC is a fuel controller and a larger MAS and more tuning abilitys I've seen it used to safly tune 720cc injectorts.

To match the ARC2 with the AFC you'd need the MAFT adaptor.

THen again if your really going for big turbos and A high HP car the AEM ECU replacment is probably the best choice.

I chose the AEM EMS even though Im not going insane with my car. It worked out to be cheeper than buying a bunch of piggybacks to do what I wanted.

Ok...well...i hear that its not the best to tune your car when going down the road.Is that true?If it is...i was thinking about getting a G-Force ECU upgrade. Then i wouldn't really have to tune the car would i?I have done somethinking and i was going to make my VR-4 a 10 sec car.But i dont think i want to do that now.I think i'll put 15G's in it (they cost less too). But then i think i'll buy a 90+ 300zx tt and make that my 10 sec car. Then i'll make my VR-4 my daily driver.I think it will last longer that way.But yea...would i have to tune my car if i got a G-Force ECU and 15G's for turbos? Thanks again!

You will have to tune your car if the fuel system is not stock, and to support 15g's you will have to change the fuel system(i.e. bigger injectors).

Stop throwing around the F&F stuff, 10 sec car this and 10 sec car that. You dont know the platform yet. There are 3-4 10 sec VR4's that are known. Most are gone, or being rebuilt trying to break the record. Lots of people try, lots more people think 11's are good enough. If you are really going to build a 10 sec 3000GT or 300ZX more power to you, just dont think it will be easy.

No...its a project i want to do...that doesn't mean i'll get it done (knowing me i wont get there). But its a dream of mine. And if i can try to make it come true. Then i will.F&F is just a alot of BS.Sorry to say so.But it is goal.

So...to my question.Would i have to tune still with a G-Force ECU?And...is it true that its not the best to tune the S-AFC when i'm going down the road?My friend tells me that the tuning wont turn out right if you do it going down the road. The only place you can do it is on a dyno.True or not?

Sorry about b4, you just sounded like a F7F kid talking about 10 sec cars. You will still have to tune the car no matter what ECU you get.

15G turbo can be had at http://www.extrememotorsports.com/gscat/turbo.htm
or on 3si.org. Last I knew a member with the name bengeee was selling a set in the parts for sale section, and vr4me is always selling turbos at a good price.

Just out of curiousity, with larger turbos(hypothetically, lets say 15Gs), injectors(660s or 720s) and the ARC2, AFC, or new ECU, do you guys have much trouble passing state emissions tests? I was just wondering how much trouble it is to get it back to legal standards after you have done all the upgrades. I know, that you can pass emissions with gutted precats, if you get the car warmed up first, but I was just wondering how much tuning is necessary with other mods.

you can tune on the road, not too safe, but you can do it. and you can lean it ou for emisions and pass pretty easily. lucky for me i have no emisions where I live.

Where do you live that you don't have restrictions, that's gotta be nice.

dekalb, IL
If I lived 10 miles east of where I do I would have to pass emisions.
