I have a 92 stealth es and I was thinking about an engine swap as well but I wanted to swap transmissions as well so that my gearing is right and I go from a 5spd to a 6spd. I figure I will need the tranny, engine and computer. Is there anything else I need OR is it even possible.

yes, you can swap in a vr-4 motor to bolt up to an N/A tranny. Is it a direct bolt on to the tranny? no, but there will have to be minor modification to fit. Bear in mind though, you will need other stuff to make it work as well. Be prepared to spend around 4 grand if your doing a whole motor swap.
As for the other question, yes you can put a 6-speed in a FWD along with a vr-4 motor, but you can't have AWD unless you look into spending lots of money to change the rear frame of your car. The basic idea is to weld up the VCU on the AWD tranny to run it as a FWD, but its a good idea to sell your good VCU to someone who needs it and let them give you back their bad VCU, cause you dont need it anyways, and there is a short supply of VCUs left, and there are VR-4 owners needing them.

Since when does the MTX FWD tranny not bolt dirrectly to the TT engine? I could have sworn it bolted right up. That is not saying the engine swap will be that easy, but I thought the tranny was simple.

I believe your supposed to grind down something on the tranny to make it directly bolt on.

Only tranny that needs something ground down is the ATX if I remember right.
