I believe thats all you have to do. Also if it comes up and says CAL on it.. You need to drive around in circles, 5-9 mph until it goes away.. No im not kidding either.. Its a way for the Mirror to calibrate itself

The last response is correct except the 7 or 8 which may or may not be where you live. These numbers are to compensate the variance in true magnetic north. The zones span in North America from 1 to 14 like a fan, origin of the fan is around the north pole. 1 is in the Alaska area, 14 is in eastern canada. The US spans from 3 (Washington) to 13 (Maine). 7 or 8 is central-east US.
Tell me where you live and I'll tell you what zone to use.

He lives in indiana.. I looked at my owners manual, and part of indiana is in 7, and part in 8.

IF the above postings didn't work there may be a reason the display reads 188%CF. There is a wire harness that goes from inside the mirror to a housing at the mounting base of the mirror that may be unplugged or broken. I had one do this. It was tough popping the two halves of the mirror apart (be carefull), but once I plugged it back in, it worked great. Good Luck.
