Which car is faster?

A (manual) 2001 camaro v-6 with borla exhaust or a 98 mustang gt (auto) vert with 3:73's,shift kit and pulleys?

that one should be the mustang easy. unless its a freak camaro. I have seen some fast v6 camaros. But the mustang should kill the camaro.

yeah, ill say stang there. the fact that its a sixer vs a V8 is kinda a answer in and of its self. was this just a test to see if we could admit that the stang would be faster????? ;)

well if you look at the facts the gt has around 25 more horse power however it is an auto and a convertible(more weight).The gt should run low to mid 15's. I thought maybe a 2001 v-6 camaro with exhaust and a manual might run about the same or a little faster.So maybe it should of been better to ask what will a 2001 v-6 camaro with a manual and exhaust run?

'96 RS here, honestly, most of the time I get ripped by a GT, no question. BTW the GT has 260HP, you have about 213HP, that is a difference of 47, not 25

the 4th gen V6's that I see race up here, with the 3.8 that is, are running low 16 - high 15

My friend who now drives an ls1 used to drive a v6 camaro 96 and he ran a 15.3 at the track on street tires. It was a manual with magnaflow muffler. But the car was wierd! it soudned rough but it ran bad ass. It made some weird ass sound and all the lights like Check engine, low oil, ABS and stuff were always on. When he ran at the track he went against a GT. i think it had no mods. Well any way the gt red lighted and my friend bearlly lost by like a 1/2 car. Never seen another six do that. It was jsut a crazy car. the engine smoked and stuff.

No,you got your facts wrong the gt didn't get 260 hp until 99
1994-1997 the gt had 215 hp,the 1998 gt had 225 horsepower.
BTW I don't drive a 1998 mustang or a 2001 camaro.I just thought It would make a good race since the gt would be a low to mid 15 second car.
