After installing new rims, im starting to hear this one sound. Its kind of like a "Clunk" sound. It happens almost everytime i start moving on 1st gear and sometimes when i brake. It doesnt happen when i turn that often. Im not sure what is wrong?? Maybe i hit something when lifting the car to put rims?? Could it be that rims are not tight enough or to tight?? Any suggestions on what it could be is helpful. Thanks

is it a "clunk", or more of a rubbing, or scraping noise?

its a "clunk". It shouldnt be rubbing or scraping anyways cause my cars not lowered.

Go check the lug nuts an make sure they are torqued to 85 LB-FT. If this is not the problem then where did you place the jack while lifting the car?

i dont know if it has anything to do with the new rims, but i had a similar noise that i could feel directly under my feet. i would talk to mechanics and they would always say it was the cv joints. but it never made the noise during turns. what it ended up being was the sway bar link kit. its a set of nuts and bolts linking your sway bar to the strut under the car. you might either have to replace it, or tighten it. check it out. its worth a shot.
