Hi All,
I am new to this forum. I own a 2001 Accord 4 cylinder EX. About 36K miles on it. I am getting a wierd rubbing noise whenever I accelerate.
As i accelerate, the frequency of "rubs" increases until the individual "rubs" are no longer distinguishable and mergers with the noise of the road.
It is most audible between 30 to 45 mph speeds.
It only happens when i push on the accelarator pedal. If i am driving at 35mph and stop acclerating, the rubbing noise also stops.
It seems to be coming from the front of the car. I am unable to pinpoint if it is coming from the wheel or from under the hood.
Could anyone tell me what could be the cause of this?
Thanks

My car does ther same thing. I had the trans on the ground last week and checked the spider gears and main bearings while it was out. The trans is fine. I think that the right side inner CV joint is bad on my car. Yours, I have no clue.
