I have a '99 Intrepid ES, silver, fully loaded. I also got some 18"s on it last week. I only wish it was a little faster. I can barely beat my brother (0-60) and he has a '93 Maxima stick.

You want to find Intrepid fans???
Try: www.dodgeintrepid.net ..........over 3000 Intrepid fans there! :p
Well, you ARE pushing 300HP and only 3000lbs, omg stock Intrepid R/T is 242-244HP and approx 3500lbs, no wonder you beat an Intrepid R/T. I would like to get mine up to 300HP, prob around 260 right now. Have an underdrive pulley on order (should be good for about 10HP), But apparently the biggest upgrade that I can do to improve speed is not add HP but change the gearing to something less suited to fuel economy (stock setup) and more suited to acceleration (Prowler Pro Gears $1500US). Even the SE gears ($100US) give 6% lower gear ratio.

BIG fan here.... 2000 Dodge Intrepid SE... lots of mods...
I have the 2000 ES (3.2L) but no mods. I like your set up but not sure what I have to do. Can you tell me in more details of what you have, where you get them, and how much? I think I can spare some bucks for it. The supercharger would be nice but not sure how much I can spend.
Thanks

I like the intrpid test drove a 94 and am seriously considering buying one any comments??
Should I buy or should I pass it by. I am a mother and drive my son when he needs to go somewhere I would like speed but too much may not be good for me as I have only had my license for a year now. I guess what I am asking is are they reliable and easy maintenance to take care of? Please let me know either here or via email at [email protected]

My first car was a '95 intrepid with a 3.3L engine. I loved that car, my friend owns it now, but it's too squishy in every respect for my tastes (squishy pedal, squishy suspension) and i dislike FWD cars in general now. my 0-60 was 10.3 seconds, very slow...they need to make a manual tranny for them! anyway, i've got an '01 V6 mustang now, which is by no means a performance vehicle, but it's a lot tighter than the intrepid. still, i'll always have a soft spot for em'. had my first kiss in that car. :*)

I love my 93 Intrepid ES. It is fast and paid for! 214 HP 3.5L. Not too shabby. I can get anywhere I need to be just a bit faster than many. I don't need 300+HP, but like the idea that you can approach that with this great looking car!
