Brake light on taurus/sable---------->

My fiance' owns a 97 Sable and when you apply the brakes and then let off the pedal the brake light on the dash comes on for a few seconds then shuts off.Any help is appreciated!Thanks in advance!

Brake fluid in the resivoir is low. Add brake fluid.
