so i was in a religion class today adn we were discussing the 12 tribes of israel from the bible. in the bible it says that the assyrians came down and led ten tribes of israel away and they were scattered. i was wandering where you think the ten tribes ended up and why you think this way.
if you dont believe in the bible and just want to tell us how we are all wrong please dont post for it is unbeneficial to this thread. but other than that lets give another religion thread a shot. bring on the ideas

I watched a discovery channel show about this a long time ago. They actually found people in different cultures that have maintained religious practices very similar to Jewish practices. There were people from all over the world including Africa. But their traditions strongly resembled the traditions of practicing jews. For example, there was a tribe that would acutually keep track of the name of the cow that produced the milk and the cow that produced the meat to make sure that people would not eat the meat of a baby cow while drinking the milk of its mother. It was really interesting.

I saw this same video last year in Bio during a geneology segment. I'm not religious and don't gaive a shit about the bible, although the show proved that people living in a remote African tribe (I forget the name) have the some same or similar DNA strand as traditional Jewish Rabbis. I don't really know anything about this. If I can find my notes form last year, I'll post back.

If I recall, it was a specific population group in Ethiopia
