What's the Japanese name for the Sentra?

I.E.: Infiniti G20 is Nissan Primera, Nissan 240sx is Skyline (?). What is Sentra called in Europe and Japan?

Thanks,

Emily

basically all the same car.....The G20's share the SR20DE motor as the Sentra's do...

NO NO NO NO NO!!!

G20=Primera (well, roughly, there are more engine and spec choices for the Primera)

Older Sentra does look like a European Blubird, but it's not identical, and mechanica stuff is different.

As for the Sentra being the same as the G20/Primera - NO!!! They do share the SR20, but it's there that the similarities end. Nothing else that I can think of is the same...

Hold on a second! I did NOT say that the Sentra was the same as the G20/Primera - I said the G20 is mechanically similar to the Primera.

I had this argument with a salesman once - told him I was thinking about up-trading my Sentra for a G20 and he gave me a lecture about how the G20 is just a really expensive Sentra etc. etc. and what I really wanted was an Altima.

I pointed out the 5" longer wheelbase on the G20 and asked how they managed that on the same frame. He didn't have an answer. Nor could he explain the 5' difference in turning diameter despite the fact he said it was the same body on the same frame. I hate it when I know more abt. the car I'm shopping for than the salesman.

All I'm asking is if there's a European equivalent to the Sentra.

And thanks for clarifying the Silvia/Skyline/240sx thing. I was guessing, having never seen any of the 3 in person and not really familiar with any. I was just trying to use an example.

Thanks.

Emily

No you didn't. But Sentra Styling here did (see the quote in my first post) and later edited it to Sentra=Sunny, which is even further from the truth! Sunny=Pulsar

In simple word, no. The closest you get body-shape wise is the Bluebird (which was discontinued in Europe in 1990, but is something different in Japan)

I'll let you decide if the BB looks somewhat similar to the Sentra or not:

Nope, guess again.

It's not nice to completely change your post after someone has quoted it...

OK< I see your point. The fact is, I'm not that familiar with JDM model designations. I was basing my responses on the European market.

BTW, the B14 looks like an Almera (in Europe, that is).. :)

It was just that when you said "Sunny" I was thinking about this

which is totally different and IIRC the chassis is N14...

No don't get me wrong I totaly understand,,The Sunny took on many different shapes and forms just like the Sentra and the Pulsar did...
