question about vtec cams

Hey guys...i was thinking last night...Honda never made a Dohc Vtec D-series. But is it possible to make ur own? For example, can I transplant B16 cams into a dohc zc head with a b16 ecu or v-afc/zc ecu? Or, can I use 2 Z6 cams or Y8 cams together in the zc head...they should bolt in but can the SOHC cams work together? I know anything is possible and there are some b and d series parts that are interchangeable, and if they aren't, it's possible to make them fit...like ls pistons in a dseries block has been done. I don't want to get flamed for not "buying a B16" ok? I don't need to hear that crap. I like to do things that are different and not just go along with the B16 crowd so save it please.

I dont know. Hey it always be worth a try if you have some extra parts lying around. But the question would be where would the vtec selinoid go? And how would you get everything to fit. 2 sohc cams? I dunno, try tell us if it actually works.

Read up on exactly how vtec works. I think youll come to find out that its gonna be a ton of work and not worth it. I mean its great to be different and all but you gotta draw the line somewhere.
