Shift Knob HELP

Does any one have any clue how to remove the stock shift knob from a 99 Nissan Altima 5 speed standard? I bought a custom knob and have destroyed my stock knob trying to get it off.

i had to saw mine off with a little blade .. the inside peice just kept spinnin around the threads on the shifter on mne 2

If it has that leather bs on it shave off the leather and it should unscrew if it doesnt there should be a little bolt under the 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , R sign makes it come off
