Transmission Problem and.....

on my 95 gp GTP 3.4L, ..when i go to check the transmission fluid, there is bubbles on the dip stick and i cant tell what the level of the fluid is. it upshifts kind of hard, ...harder then it used to, and it jerks goin in to drive and reverse, ...but it only jerks goin in to D or R when the rpm's are higher when they are supposed to be ...but they stay at about 1400 rpm's most of the time, i have recently changed the upper and lower intake gaskets and im sure i have all the hoses hooked up, the only thing i can think of is i didnt replace the upper gasket on the EGR valve, i need to do that, so maybe that is the problem with idle and/or jerk into drive and reverse? and if i rev the car up in neutral or park the car shakes a little between 1500-2000 rpms, but then smooth after that. it also does it while im driving...it feels like its hesitating in between those rpms. so if anyone has had these same problems or if anyone has any suggestions, and help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
