I have an 88 crx hf and I can get a DX motor and tranny combo for really cheap ($100) and was wondering, what would be needed to make it run (e.g. could i use my current (stock) MPFI? or my distributor?) He said he doesn't have a distrubutor or ECU. I can get a DX ECU easily, but what else could i need?

you should be all set. just bolt up the intake manifold and distributor. You'd notice a better HP gain if you swapped in the si tranny and si mpfi. You got mpfi but it sux. I'm not sure but you may need to change the hubs and axels....i think you do on the civic STD....but i cant remember for the HF.

if you get an si manifold you wont have to do any wiring its all the same as the hf and alot bigger to
run an 88-89 integra ecu and you will have a lot more power than the dx two injector setup
i have a dx 5 speed ecu for real cheap if you want it

If he is getting a mpfi intake manifold :wtf: would he need with a crappy pm5????
Im almost positive you have to change the axles and hubs. Preferable the dx motor with si intake and distributor. And a si tranny and axles.

Why would he go with the dx dpfi manifold when his car is already wired up for mpfi. Theoretically you would have to re wire the car to get rid of 2 injectors and to lose some extra hp. Why would he do that???
