96 LHS loping

A new member for just three days and I already have my hand out, jees!
But I need help. I have a 96 LHS that has recently had a tune up and one of these 60 dollar fuel system cleanings. The vehicle ran great afterwards, until now, 7 weeks later. It's developed a slight miss at idle and when accellerating from a stop-accellerating slowly, when RPMs reach 1000-1200 the engine lopes almost as if it is receiving fuel and then not, back and forth, until RPMs move beyond this range and then the car runs fine. I show no engine lights indicating a problem. Any help out there would be so very much appreciated. Thanks Ron

Sorry it took someone so long to reply. I just pulled out my Chilton's book. For a stumble on acceleration, it lists the following: Spark plugs fouled, fuel filter clogged, check injector drive circuit and injector resistance, TPS binding or sticking, EVAP system leaking or malfunctioning, alternator ouput low or excessive.

Yeah, OK. The first thing I would do is check to make sure you have the right clearances on the plugs. From what I can recall offhand, some of the different years have different gaps. I dunno if this could cause your problem though.

No MIL either. Maybe its a coil pack. I would think plugs first though, especially since you say the problem is on acceleration.

Good luck, and keep us posted!!

Dan
