Please help! I have a 93 GP 3.1L and when I come to a stop while driving my car will stall. In park, it idles perfect and when I am on the gas, not a problem...I have replaced the TPS, ICM, altenator, starter, fuel pump, water pump, new plugs and wires, air filter and fuel filter. No codes are thrown when it stalls out either...any ideas what could be the problem?

I am thinking maybe the camshaft sensor?

i don't think it's the camshaft sensor. you described a textbook example of a sticking torque converter lockup solenoid sticking. unplug the solenoid and see if it goes away. it's either a one or 2 wire conector from the transmission. make sure you don't unplug the speed sensor. hope this helps you

When I first bought this car I had to have the torque converter uplugged because it would not downshift. I did not know this, but my car was missing the pcv valve so I put that back on and it has helped alot. After I replaced the TPS I reset the idle speed on it as mentioned back in this foroum at http://www.60degreev6.com/index.php?p=pages&pid=74 , this has also helped. But my car will still lope when I come to a stop in drive.I am not sure which way to go to fix this...

check for vacuum leaks you already found one pcv. pay close attention to the intake manifold gasket spray some carb cleaner or wd-40 around it a listen for engine change. these motors have also been known to suck in part of the intake gasket on the bottom where you can't see it.

I have checked for vacum leaks and I cannot find any more...I reset the idle again after installing the new pcv valve and the car ran great for 2 days...now the same problems have arose. This time I am getting a code 43/53. I did some digging online and found an article referring to GM TSB #336506. It refers to problems caused by "Low volatility/high driveability index fuels currently in the marketplace. It recommends changing the PROM (Computer chip) in affected car models' ECM (Computer) to chips that are specified in the bulletin. He was having the same type of irractic and unexplainable engine problems....stalling out/idle rough/ sluggish running....has anyone else ever ran across this?Does anyone one know where I might get a copy of this bulliten? Thank you to all who have been so helpful with this problem!

code-43 Knock sensor signal was either above 4.6 volts or below 0.64 volts for at least 10 seconds.
code-53 ECM sees a battery voltage of more than 16.9 volts for 10 seconds. give it a try if that doesn't work you might need to replace the voltage regulator(alternator) and/or knock sensor. i've never ran into these codes. let me know if it works
