Hi,
I am new here, so I guess I better introduce myself. I am a college student and own a blue 91 LS that is all stock. I have a couple questions and was hoping someone could help me out. The heater blower recently stopped working and I discovered the one of the air ducts leading to the blower housing was leaking water(no doubt from water getting in from out side). Anyways I want to take out the old heater blower assembly that is under the glove box to check it out and dry it out. It looks like the housing splits in two pieces. I took off the clips on the front and one bolt that was also holding it on. I tried to pull the bottom half off but it didn't move. Do you guys have an suggestions on how to get it off. Is it a real PITA? Should I just try and take the whole assembly out? Thanks a lot for the help.

I doubt that the water is coming from the outside, it is probably your heater core. It is a real pain in the ass to change so if you don't feel like you can tackle the job I would just take it to a shop.

The water that is coming out is perfectly clear like rain water. There are no signs of coolant and the car is not running hot. It only leaks after it has rained. It never does it on dry days.

Hmm well, I would think that the brushes on the blower motor are wron. I had a similar problem on my civic. The heater assebly is kinda big and very agrivating to remove.

Do you have AIM?

I have the exact same problem and if anyone could help me that would be excellent. I figured if I tried hard enough I could get the blower motor ut without help, boy was I wrong.

Anyone?

I really would like to do this job myself, but I dont drive my integra all that often so I have been living with lack of a fan for a month now. Anyone with any insight into getting that blower motor off would really help!

You will have better replies if you start your own thread instead of reviving the old dead one. I would like to thank you for using the search feature befor asking questions, but after you search it is best to start your own thread. Also you will need to give as much information as you can in the new thread like year make and model of your car etc.
