Pulled over by cop

Me and my friend were driving out of the local pool place and this police officer just stares at his car. (95 civic with exhaust) The police officer started to follow us once he heard him turn on his car and my friend kept it in low rpms going about 3k rpms in 1st in a parking lot. The cop pulls us over and tells us that hes going to pass the 50 dollar fine and give him a warning that its illegal to have an aftermarket exhaust.

We live in Massachussetts. Does anyone know any rules or regulations on exhaust and if this BS is true? I thought that it was only illegal over a certain amount of Decibels.

aftermarket isnt illegal long as you cant hear it over 50 feet or something like that or so many db's like 92 or something plus if its illegal then why can a people put flowmasters on there domestics thats aftermarket that cop is just a punk ass cop they all are

oh it was a written warning with no amount so its no money fine. But its in the computers now that about the exhaust .

I thought it was a decibel thing too but I dont have to go thru that cuz cops over here dont worry about that kinda thing...
