What Spoiler?

I Just Bought a 2000 Civic Si Electron Blue and I am entitled (by my parents) to a spoiler (as a matter of fact she is making me get one cause she says it doesnt look sporty enough) so I was wondering what spoiler I should get? I like some of the aluminum ones out there I saw one that looked like an Indi Car spoiler and had HONDA written in red on it and it looked pretty bad ass but what should I get???

OEM Honda spoiler - it's cheap and clean.


Or, if u wanna go the aluminum way get the APR V-Spec wing in black - it's not extravagant (compared to others).

Or, you can get a park bench and bolt it to your trunk.

please dont go down that path. especially since your in orlando and there are to many ricers down there as it is. if you want a spoiler get a factory si style spoiler other then that do something to the engine or suspension or your running the risk of being called a rice boy. if im in orlando and i see you in a stock si with a gtr wing or an aluminum wing i will hold my rice boy sign out of my sunroof at you (no offense to you personally). the way i tell it to the si drivers is for the price you pay for a spoiler and a body kit and altezza's and projectors and windshield washer l.e.d.'s and stickers and 18" blings and to get everything painted installed or put on you could have bought a turbo or a supercharger and been running with mustangs and camaros or preped your motor for serious power in the furture. your peers in the automotive world and on this board will take you more seriously.

if you wanted to build a show only car then you should have got a dx or an ex and saved yourself a couple grand.

i like the touring style ones just not some spoiler that all curvy and ridiculous

I kind of like the Touring wing with the LED?? What do you think? I dont like the Honda OEM Supra with the Lights. Plus everyone that has an Si has one of those!

Personally, I'd leave a spoiler off. See if your parents will get you something else, like skunk2 coil-overs. I purposly got a RED Si without a spoiler.... took off all the badges that identify it as an Si. Most people think my car is an EX. Anyway back to the spoiler... if you REALLY want a spoiler, I think the Silver Arospeed alum. would look pretty good. I'd stay away from the regular old Si spoiler tho, be original.

or you could just say screw the critics and get what looks good to you like I did. (see sig.) I would though, for a blue car, not get a tall wing. Low spoilers look better on the newer cars anyway. A new, blue car (good choice btw) would look good (to me) with a three-peice thruster spoiler. Painted body color of course.

I saw an SI with a flush mount spoiler, and it looked sweet

I dunno, it may just be me, but I haven't seen one that looked better on a stock body than the OEM one.

Thanx for all your help, I bought a touring wing today without an led. I decided it looked pretty good (when I took it out of the store and sat it on my trunk) so I bought it. I will post some pics when I get it painted and everything. Also I spent quite a chunk of change on an alarm system with pager monitoring, remote start, rolls up my windows when I turn off the car, Turnk pop, and install my Stereo (amp subs and head unit) and add Motion Sensor was $900

don't get an aluminum one. I hate those damn things. Just my thoughts
