a few engine mods under $1

here is a few mods that will work on a cav. . . or any car.

More fuel flow: Simply take the vaccuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator and you will get an extra 4-5 psi of pressure at the fuel rail. when the injectors open they will spray a little bit more fuel out because of the increased pressure. just remember to put a cap, screw, or plug to close the vaccuum line off you just removed.

Better air: Take off your egr valve and remove the gasket. using a piece of sheet metal, trace the shape of the gasket on the metal and cut it out. cut out the screw holes in the metal but leave the intake and exhaust holes closed going into the egr valve. put the gasket and metal together and reinstall the egr valve. from now on your car will no longer burn the exhaust back through the engine building up carbon. i also noticed a difference in my high end when i did this. just remember to take the metal back out if you need to get emisions tests in your area/state

just to correct you on the vacuum line into the fuel pressure regulator. If you leave it alone it raises the pressure when you step on the throttle anyway but if you want piss poor fuel economy so be it but you are not gaining any power.

Indeed I agree with Jerky. You Will Gain some Fuel Press at Idle, but at the High end you wont gain any, there is no way regulate to fuel, that is what the vacuum line is for.
