ram air vs. cold air

I was wondering which system would work more efficiently. the ram air or cold air. I know the cold air is less expensive, but the ram air looks so much more cooler. I don't think it's possible, but could you run both. I was also wondering if anyone had dyno results after installing the CDC shaker scoop ram air system. Thanks for any input.

Ram aire is a myth. It doesn't exist and is only a selling point to people who actually believe that there is RAM air for your car. I personally stick with the k&N kits or older cold air kits they have on the market. Just my thoughts. Plus the fact that I read an article that explained even mathmatically that RAM air is a myth.

Yeah, you have to be going something like 180 mph to even start to notice a ram air effect. Also, neither will gain you any noticable hp, they are mainly just for looks. Like vortec said stick with either a K&N setup or a fenderwell CAI.
