Once a new timing chain set has been put on an 1992 s-10 2 wheel drive, is it possible to put the timing chain cover back on without dropping the oil pan? I'm having problems getting the cover back on because of the oil pan. Any suggestions?

you didnt say what engine, but the answer is generally no, the front 'rope' seal goes over the front cover, yet under the pan and its in the corners where it will leak, so you dont want to cut it. Im trying to think if there is a way to angle the front cover in there, but I cant see it working too well
