Ive inheritated an olden 84 prelude, and basically its a piece of shit.
I don't know what to do to make it worthwhile really.
So.....
Im wondering, all you high tech geniuses...
What should i do?
What mods should i consider, and in what order.
Or should i sell it and buy a newer prelude.
And where can i find stuff for such an old car.
Junkyards?
The more i think about it, the more my mind sinks.

Do you really want it?

It won't obliterate a WRX or a Supra anytime soon (if at all...) but its still a pretty decent fun little car.

Yea, its an enjoyable ride, and it has a lil speed left in it. I don't like the way it sounds, im thinking maybe a new exhaust? Don't know though. I don't wanna put more in it than its worth really, thats my dilemma. What could i put on it that i could reuse on a different car later?

An intake filter can fit alot of cars, but the pipe will probably only fit a Prelude, so keep that in mind.
There's no rule that you have to do anything first, people usually do it in order of difficulty. I know some people who mess with suspension and balance first before they even touch their engine.

the one thing about it that bothers me most is the sound. It kinda putters when im driving. I don't really know how to explain it. Ive drove cars with exhaust leaks b4 and thats kinda what it reminds me of. So thats what im thinking, but with my luck its something else and ill waste the money.
How much would a good exhaust cost me.
What would be the best choice.
And where should i get it?

why don't you find out of its even the exhaust...you could have a hole or crack in your headers (a.k.a. exhaust manifold), or any of a dozen problems
