what is this??

I have a 91 eclipse 2.0L non-turbo automatic i have a question does anyone know what this metal box is on my bulkhead(firewall) i think it was originaly black(i painted it black) I opened it up and it has like these pullys inside with cables.Does anyone know what it is and what it does im just curious

pulleys with cables? Small ones? The only thing I could think of is maybe your Cruise control system. If your DSM does not have cruise then I have no idea.

mmmm that might be i have cruse control but my chilton manual told me it was on the transmission thanks

does one run to that (i think its called) throttle controller

its either 2 cables going in 2 cables going out or 1 cable going in and 2 out i gotta go check but its to damn cold

Should be one cable from the pedal, one from the CC actuator, and one to the throttle body...
