i want to get a boost controller to go faster. do you recommend it? i was thinking about an internal manual boost controller...not the electrical ones b/c ive heard of quite a few problems with them. is it bad for the engine or anything else? what upgrades would i need to do to stay safe? where is it safe to keep the boost on and whats too much?

I don't know what you mean by "internal" but:
-electrical boost controllers work fine, some people like them more
-its not bad for the engine on stock turbo, you wont boost enough to break anything
-you don't have to upgrade anything to raise boost on a stock 2g turbo, but it would be best to have intake and exhaust.
-Increasing the boost much past 16psi will severely reduce the life of your turbo, the T25 isn't able to hold boost at high RPM.

Its also important to note that I saw NO power gains above 16 psi on pump gas on the stock 2g turbo... Stock boost is ~14 psi, so dont expect it to be fast and furious with 2 more psi.
